German IdNr from abroad: processing time and result delivery
Our estimated time to obtain your German personal tax ID is 2–4 months. This is our service estimate, not an official authority guarantee or a promise of priority processing.

The stages of your case
We first clarify whether you need a first-time application or recovery of an existing IdNr and confirm that you reside outside Germany. We then review the required materials and assist with the agreed process.
- Initial enquiry and case assessment.
- Review of a genuine passport scan and proof of address.
- Application assistance and help receiving the official result.
- Service completion when you obtain your IdNr.
What can lead to clarification?
Unreadable documents, differences in names or addresses, and a change of circumstances can require clarification. Preparing clear, consistent and genuine documents helps us review your case. These examples are practical issues, not a published processing schedule from the authority.
How is the official result received?
We help receive the official result. Before commissioning, discuss how the receipt and handover will be arranged for your case. This website does not automatically generate tax numbers or provide an online status account.
Keep us informed of changes to your contact details or address so we can discuss any effect on the agreed arrangements.
When is the service complete?
The service is complete when you obtain your IdNr. The €500 fee includes document review and application assistance, with no additional fees. If your case is unsuitable for our service, you receive a full refund.
If you have a deadline, mention it in your first enquiry. We do not promise that the authority will meet a particular deadline.
